Maritime Silk Road Expo to Be Held in Guangdong

An industrial expo, aiming at promoting between China and countries and regions along the ancient Maritime Silk Road, will kick off on October 31 in Dongguan, Guangdong province, about 70 miles from Guangzhou downtown.

 

Scheduled from October 31 to November 2, the three-day expo focuses on building an exchange platform and deepens strategic cooperation between China and countries situated along the ancient maritime trade route, according to Liu Xiaojie, deputy director of the expo's organizing committee.

 

There will be 2,000 exhibition booths to be set up to promote the history of Guangdong province's trade and cultural connection with countries along the route and to display competitive products and tourism resources to boost trade and cultural cooperation. The event will also set up exhibition zones to promote investment and cross-border e-commerce and port logistics cooperation, including the history and outlook of Maritime Silk Road, investment and trade platform, competitive featured products, cooperation on travel and culture, etc.
