British Fashion & Art Highlight GZ International Shopping Festival

Started on September 25, the annual Guangzhou International Shopping Festival will last 17 days with British chic and art in the Tianhe business circle, organized by Tianhe Road Chamber of Commerce and China-Britain Business Council (CBBC). British landmarks and icons will be omnipresent at malls and squares in the Tianhe business circle.

Housing British elements of tourism, dining, culture and entertainment, to boost commerce during the National Day holiday season, the festival will include promotions, tastings and shows in various Tianhe shopping malls, including Teemall, Grandview Plaza, EGO Digital Plaza, Fashion Tianhe Commercial Plaza, Mopark, Tianyu Plaza, Pacific Computer Town, etc.

Shopping
Some 40 British exhibitors of house ware items, clothes, accessories, food, and silverware will be selling their products in the Grandview Plaza. Most of the goods are being sold for the first time in the South China market. Afternoon tea, an icon of British culture, will be represented as part of the festival. Twining Tea, McVitie's cakes and Prestat chocolate will be sold in the atrium of the fifth floor in the Grandview Plaza.

Art
The festival will transform the Tianhe commerical district into a British universe. A 20-meter high "Big Ben," a model of Buckingham Palace, and red telephone booths and postal boxes will jolt your memory into recalling favorite British scenes. The UK artist Lucy McLauchlan will perform during the event. The Children's Musical Theater, Solo Piano, and Band will have shows in Grandview Plaza and Teemall. A UK art exhibition will be held at the Fashion Tianhe Commercial Plaza.
