“Documenting the World, Reflecting the Fact” is the slogan of this grand Documentary Film Festival in Guangzhou. With a total of 2071 documentary films displayed, Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, one of the professional documentary festivals, will be held on December 8-12, 2013 at Guangzhou Library. 

Founded in 2003, GZDOC has grown from an academic seminar to a documentary conference within ten years. Now it has become an international festival which attracts 1488 submissions from 65 countries and regions and one of the influential documentary festivals in China, as well as set up cooperation with other world-renowned documentary festivals.

The upcoming festival allures more than 100 influential groups both in Chinese and international documentary industry, including broadcasters, distributors and producers, etc. During the one-week carnival, there will be a series of sessions to be held, including competition, public screenings, market activities, forums, press conferences, the opening ceremony, award ceremony and so on. 

The excellent documentaries shown in the festival, from 72 countries and regions, depict a variety of themes and contents such as nature, history, art, culture, war, technology and society.
