Spring Festival Flower Fairs to Take Place around Guangzhou Next Year
Going to flower fairs is one of the most popular activities for the locals in Guangzhou during the spring festival. In 2014, Guangzhou will embrace traditional flower fairs as well as a series of celebration events scheduled to be held in 12 different areas around the city from January 27 to February 14, reported by local media on Nov. 15.
During this period, citizens can not only enjoy themselves in the flower fair but also have access to several events held simultaneously, including folk performances, an intangible culture exhibition, a light exhibition and a flower exhibition.
Some families from other provinces in China will be invited to experience the culture and the unique way of celebrating New Year in Guangzhou, part of the city's new plan to expand the presence of the "Spring Festival Flower fair" and boost tourism of the city.
