Uber, the creator of the original taxi-hailing app, recently started to enter the app market in Guangzhou to offer more convenience for people to look to call a cab by their smartphones. The luxury town cars provided by Uber are equipped with Wi-Fi, free water and phone chargers.

Uber can accommodate those guests who want to call a car just by touching a button on their phones while they are on their way. San Francisco is the first spot for experiment held in 2010, which resulted in a great success. After that, Uber has attracted widespread attention and huge financial support from both venture capitalists and established tech companies, including Google. And it is now available in over 60 cities across the globe including Chinese metropolises Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Differing from home-grown favorites Didi and Kuaidi, Uber offers luxury town car service with a higher price to match. The relevant cars are equipped with Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers, and no cash is exchanged with the driver. The app can be downloaded in the Apple or Android App Stores or on uber.com/app. Register with your Alipay, Visa or Master card for payment, drop a pin at your preferred pick-up location and request a ride. Uber will let you know when your car will arrive.
