On May 14, the Transport Department of Guangdong province announced the full access of the "Lingnan Tong" IC card.

Starting May 1, 2013, card holders can take buses in downtown Zhanjiang and Qingyuan city. Among 17 cities in the province where the card can be used, 14 of them have become reality in downtown so far. Another three, including Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Yangjiang, are on their way. Four cities, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Meizhou and Shantou, also scheduled to promote the use of the card. Thus you will be able to use only one card to take buses in all cities in Guangdong province by the end of 2013.
