A party organized by the Jian She Sub-district foreign volunteer station was held on June 16 at 1920 Sky bar, the first event for the newly-established station since their foundation in May.

More than 70 people attended the party, including staff, social workers from the street office, ex-pat volunteers and their friends. Some ex-pats at the bar that night have signed up to volunteer at the station.

According to Miss Cai, one of the staff there, the activity, which will be held once a quarter, is to provide a platform for ex-pats to communicate and promote the presence of the station. "We hope more people living here know they can seek help from the station if they have problems in working and living in Guangzhou. And we hope more ex-pats will join us in volunteering."
