The whole line of Haizhu Island Circular New Tram has been put into trial operation on Dec.31, the last day of 2014.As an at-grade and tram operating system, the tram mainly serves the Haizhu district in Guangzhou, between Canton Tower and Pazhou, with a 7.7km-length route, to relieve the pressure of traffic jams to Pazhou during peak exhibition time.

The first trial operational period is from Dec.31, 2014 to Feb.11, 2015，when Haizhu Island Circular New Tram will run at an interval of 13 minutes from 9am to 5pm every day. Passengers with commemorative tickets, 2 yuan each, can take multiple trips within the same day. The second period will begin on Feb.12, and passengers can use Yeng Cheng Tong cards to buy tickets. Service hours may be extended according to the passenger flow in the first period.

There are 11 stations to be laid at-grade: Wanshengwei, Pazhou Pagoda, Water Culture, Museum Exhibition East, Exhibition, Exhibition West, Huanan Bridge, Beer Museum, Liede Bridge, Yiyuan Donglu and Canton Tower.
