The Guangzhou South Railway Station Bus Terminus officially opened on August 1 following its relocation to the side of the western square of the Guangzhou South Railway Station.

The terminus operates two new routes in addition to its original 13 routes. Among the total of 15 routes, eight run across central districts in the city and seven operate within Panyu District. The terminus also operates two nighttime routes, one to the Tianhe Sports Center and the other to the Guangzhou Railway Station, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., making it convenient for local residents to get around late at night.
