Perhaps you have heard of the orange double-decker buses that connect the downtown and the Huangpu Ancient Village in Guangzhou city. If you haven't, the good news is that now you won't need to wait too long in order to get a seat on the upper level.

From July 27, there have been 13 double decker buses put into use for the No. 1 Sightseeing Bus route, 7 of which are brand new. The interval has been shortened from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.

To avoid rain and sunshine, canopy and glass windows have been installed on the upper level of the buses. But some low level branches still pose a danger for passengers if the bus is at a speed.

The sightseeing bus route is operated by the Haizhu district government to boost the local tourism. The government is planning to open more route choices. Prices, operating time and designs of the bus are still under determined.
