Offered by China Southern Airlines, direct flights from Guangzhou in China to New York in US will come into play from August 6, 2014.

Guests can enjoy a convenient direct flying trip between Guangzhou and New York, taking about 15 hours each way. Since there are not direct flights from Shanghai to New York, travelers flying between the two cities can transfer planes in Guangzhou, rather than catching a connecting flight outside of China.

Flight CZ 399 will run four times a week, departing from Guangzhou at 1:40am local time and arriving in New York at 5:15 am local time. Return flights leave New York at 11:15 am local time and arrives in Guangzhou at around 3:15 pm.

The round trip price of economy-class flights for the Shanghai-Guangzhou-New York flight is about RMB 8,500 (USD 1,360) (duty unpaid) until August 26, when it will be reduced to RMB 2,500 (USD 400) (duty unpaid).
