Recently, China Southern Airlines signed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Tourism Western Australia in Guangzhou. It is the second such agreement since May 2011, aiming at taking the advantage of the dominance of China Southern Airlines in China and helping more Chinese travelers take direct flights via Guangzhou to Perth, the capital of Western Australia.

The direct flights from Guangzhou to Perth, established in 2011, are not only the first civil air service to Western Australia, but the fourth air route of China Southern Airlines to Australia. The flights take off every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and return the following day, taking 8 hours and 15 minutes.

According to the new agreement, in three years, Western Australia Tourism and China Southern Airlines each will invest 2.4 million Australian dollars in promoting the Chinese market. Passengers heading for Western Australia from other Chinese locations can transfer in Guangzhou and enjoy exclusive transfer services like direct baggage and the use of non-stop tickets.
