Back in Shanghai this year, the China International Travel Mart has been successfully held at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center in Pudong New Area from Nov. 20 to 23.
It is the biggest of its category in Asia and this November event is the 10th anniversary of the mart. The trade fair has presented the entire china travel industry and the elegance of China to international counterparts and professional visitors.
CITM 2008 was regarded by many of its participants as the best ever — despite fears over the global financial crisis. As the premier event in the Chinese travel industry's calendar, CITM remains the place for travel and hospitality professionals to meet, to renew old friendships, and to see what is new. The year of the Beijing Olympics has seen many new hotels opening, new tour products, and new outbound destinations opening to the Chinese market.
CIMT makes another breakthrough in exhibition space this year, increasing 21% over the last show. With upgraded exhibition stands, exhibitors are making more efforts in showcase of their advantages. Exhibitor number also reaches a historical high, with a large percentage of international participation.
