Guangzhou Expo 2007 will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2007, at the Pazhou Convention Complex, Guangzhou, as announced during a press conference by the city government on August 22nd, in Guangzhou.
International shows of cartoon and comic, urban public communication and modern logistics are to be incorporated into the Expo, said Chen Shaokang, Vice Secretary General of Guangzhou Municipal Government.
Almost 3,000 booths will be available for some 3,000 registered participating companies. These companies come from 13 overseas countries and regions and 30 Chinese provinces.
The Expo features one comprehensive show and six industry shows.
The International Show of Urban Public Communication is debuting for the first time in Guangzhou. An 18-meter super-long bus made in Zhejiang Province, China, will be displayed at the show.
With a capacity of 200, the bus is for the coming BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system in the city. Its unit price is 2 million yuan (US$ 263,000)
It was also announced that the annual Guangzhou Expo will be staged on the first Friday of each September.
