On June 30, the annual joint inspection on Foreign-invested enterprises was conducted and a total of 7,342 foreign-invested enterprises passed the inspection. According to related data, among the 7,342 enterprises, there are 4,686 manufacturing enterprises (63.82%), 645 real estate enterprises (8.79%) and 610 leasing and business services enterprises (8.31%). The enterprises created a sales/business revenue of RMB 643.2 billion, paid taxes of RMB 44.4 billion and provided 1.27 million jobs.
In order to strengthen the supervision on foreign-invested enterprises, transform management modes and improve the investment environment, this year, six state authorities jointly issued documents including the Statistical Bureau data as members of the joint inspection.
According to the request of the six state authorities and of related departments of Guangdong Province, and in coordination with the members of the joint inspection group, the Guangzhou Statistical Bureau organized district-level and county-level statistics for Panyu, Huadu, Nansha, Conghua and Zengcheng districts to include data for the 2007 joint inspection.
