I have stayed at the Grand Palace for 10 weeks so far this year and plan to spend another 10 weeks whilst attending a year long language course. I stay in a lot of Chinese Hotels and this one is good value for money for a major city like Guangzhou. The bath is a good size for a westerner! Free Internet access, comfortable western style matress. Had to buy my own pillows as the ones provided are the typical ultra soft ones - killer on the neck (I often take my own pillows to hotels anyway). It is situated very well in the centre of the Tianhe district. I recommend it.
